With warmer weather on the horizon, well we’ve got to stay positive haven’t we (?!) are we seeing the property market warming up as well?
Short answer… Yes!
Quick review from the beginning of the year, January we saw the up turn in activity with home owners requesting appraisals for their homes, buyers inquiring to see what was potentially coming to the market and agents feeling somewhat more positive.
Then February came along and a more subdued market place, did we peak to early?.. Come March and all eyes on the spring budget and the Chancellor for potential boost to the property market but sadly not the case. So Easter upon us and time for all parties to take stock and rest up and look forward to warmer weather and maybe a revised outlook on the property market.
So, here we are post Easter…
…and safe to say that we are now seeing those positive green shoots occurring, more homes coming to the market, buyer inquires increasing and suddenly the outlook somewhat better, yes interest rates haven’t changed yet but that is certainly on the cards and with more stability on the economic playground it could be the platform we need to see a much improved market place.
Something which RICS (Royal institute for Chartered Surveyors) have also noted:
‘Estate agents and surveyors are predicting the property market will bounce back over the coming months, according to the latest survey by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics).
It said its members were seeing rising numbers of buyer enquiries, as well as more sellers coming to market’
